Hey Everybody,

My name is Stephen Prince, and this summer my best friend Wyatt Akin and I will be biking close to 3,500 miles across the United States to raise money for Neurofibromatosis (NF), the disease my brother died of almost three years ago.

My goal is to raise $50,000 in donations to fund treatment and research and hopefully someday find a cure for NF.

ANYONE can sponsor our ride by the mile (as little as one cent per mile!) or by a one-time lump sum. ANY donation - no matter how small - is greatly appreciated, and all proceeds go directly to the Children's Tumor Foundation. Please visit my donation site!

Andrew passed away on June 22, 2006, at the age of 23. He was born with NF, which caused tumors to continuously grow all over his body.

My brother was my best friend and my hero, and I wanted to do something that would raise awareness about NF and help the Children’s Tumor Foundation (CTF), an NF research and support organization.

I’m excited to do this for my brother and hope that money raised by the ride will help researchers find a cure so that others won't have to go through everything Andrew suffered.

Our 55-day bike ride begins on June 10th, 2009 in Maine and will end on August 3rd in California. We'll be spending the time before June 10th physically training to prepare for the trip, planning fundraisers and most importantly, trying to get the word out about our trip!

If you have any ideas for fundraising I’m all ears! Besides raising money for NF, we need new road bikes and other supplies for the trip.

Check out the rest of the site and check back for updates - especially DURING the bike ride!!
